Dorothy "Dot" Bugbee-Robinson currently resides in Lavallette, New Jersey. Dot lived in Costa Rica for many years: surfing, teaching & exploring surf spots with good friends & clients. She travelled throughout Central America training and competing for surfing.
Dot returned home in Summer of 2012 to continue to teach surf lessons, surf coaching, spreading ocean awareness & education in Lavallette, NJ.
Update:
As the Summer season of 2012 winded down and Fall approaching Dot was getting ready to head back to Costa Rica. Unfortunately Super Storm Sandy hit leaving the Jersey Shore & Dot's home destroyed. She decided to stay & rebuild her home; leaving behind Costa Rica's warm escape. Her house & community is mostly rebuilt but forever changed.
Dot's husband Brian suggested taking a trip to Bali, Indonesia in 2013 once the house was rebuilt & life was somewhat back to "normal". Guess you can say when one door closes another one opens.

One of the many benefits of traveling
is immersing yourself in other peoples' cultures and
taking yourself out of your comfort zone.
